Bruce Porter's NEXT seminar
Saturday (SEPT. 19)  new series: Pearl of Great Price

SEPT 19 IS 2ND EVENT IN a NEW SERIES: PEARL OF GREAT PRICE.
CALL/text/email DAVID JONES FOR MO INFO
tscriber2@gmail.com 480-734-6200

We are pleased and happy to announce that we will be having class time again with Br Porter on Saturday, SEPT 19th at the American Leadership Academy from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM.  There will be three separate sessions with breaks in between.  Please bring your own snacks and beverages.  A donation of $10.00 / person is suggested.
This venue is directly across the street from the Gilbert Temple NECorner of Pecos and Greenfield, and is the same location we assembled previously this year.  We appreciate the management of ALA for the use of their auditorium once again for this occasion.
For those who may be new to this class list, Br Porter has completed his series from the Book of Revelation or the doctrines and concepts of the Last Days. He is beginning a series on the Pearl of Great Price for the upcoming year. His lectures are all based on the scriptures and from the teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith.  Br Porter has published an outline of this popular topic that can be ordered from Amazon.  See this link
to order and have ready by the time class resumes again on the 15th.

Bruce Porter's seminars are always held on the third Saturdays
(next class AUG 15) at the American Leadership Academy just North of the Gilbert Temple.

If you have not attended class recently, we are beginning a new series on the Pearl of Great Price  Please mark your calendars for the date and time...You'll be glad you did.
Hope to see you all soon. (p.s. check out other lecture notes at the end of this email.)
Looking forward to seeing you there- Suggested Donation $10 for regular afternoon session (next, Aug 15)

As a TREAT 4U, see the attached
one of his class transcripts from 2011 in which he opens up section 76 'Developing the Character of God' .
It's 15 pages.
Hope you will enjoy.

We welcome those who have recently attended Br. Porter's classes and participated in the discussions.  If you have not attended class recently, this topic has been very interesting and worth the time invested to learn what the scriptures say about these events.  Please mark your calendars for the date and time...You'll be glad you did.
Hope to see you all in a few weeks.

EASTERN ARIZONA EVENTS

From Gail Wilde 5:15pm Sep 2

I just want to Thank everyone from the bottom of my heart, for supporting the singles program in the White Mountain area. Without your support, we would not have the success we have had. Being a singles representative is a daunting task, especially when you feel that you have no support. But as the Taylor Rep, I have to tell you all, how appreciative I am to you all. It is not me working hard to create a singles program, it is you singles saving me. I thank my Heavenly Father for giving me this calling, to keep me on the path he wants me on! I love you all!

Get a Testimony of
what the Prophets have said!

Do you know
what the Prophet Says?

“Help others in their race of life.
Remember that when you help another up a mountain,
you are a little nearer the top yourself.” -Thomas S. Monson
(Full talk: http://bit.ly/MmGIyN)

My brothers and sisters, in this marvelous dispensation of the fulness of times, as we journey through mortality and face the trials and challenges of the future, may we remember the examples of these models to follow. May we have the unfeigned humility of John the Baptist, the unquestioning obedience of Abraham, the unlimited patience of Job, the unwavering faith of Noah, the undeviating loyalty of Ruth, the unflagging determination of Nephi, the undaunted courage of the Prophet Joseph Smith, and the unfailing optimism of President Hinckley. Such will be as a fortress of strength to us throughout our lives.

May we ever be guided by the supreme Exemplar, even the son of Mary, the Savior Jesus Christ—whose very life provided a perfect model for us to follow.

The unique qualities possessed by these men and women whom I have mentioned can be of invaluable assistance to us as we face the problems and the trials which lie ahead.

... and the readiness for inspiration of President Monson!

Coming Soon!
The Sapporo Temple
Consdtruction has Started!!!
Sapporo Temple 3D Video

Construction Status
As of March 2015, stone cladding has been attached to the exterior of the Sapporo Japan Temple, and framework has been installed for the base of the tower. Inside, the interior walls are being framed and mechanical and electrical systems installed. Construction continues simultaneously on a mission office and residence, temple worker housing facility, temple patron housing facility, and arrival center.
On May 28, 2014, Elder D. Todd Christofferson of the Quorum of the Twelve, and his wife Katherine, visited the construction site of the Sapporo Japan Temple (read the newsletter) on an unusually beautiful afternoon with other local Church authorities. The visitors were shown the on-site mock-up, which is a temporary structure erected to help both workers and neighbors the materials and techniques used to build the temple and its supporting buildings. They viewed the progress of the various buildings with satisfaction.

Completion:
anticipated to be completed in 2014 (awaiting official announcement)

The Sapporo Japan Temple will be the eighth temple building in Asia and the third built in Japan, following the Tokyo Japan Temple (1980) and the Fukuoka Japan Temple (2000).
